Fabruary Eight's Fabulous Books

Read the Printed Word!

The publication date of Carlos Ruiz Zafón’s final novel to be translated into English, Marina, has been pushed up to exactly one month from today, September 26!
Ruiz Zafón’s last young adult novel, written just before The Shadow of the Wind and part of the same universe, is my favourite amongst his books and also for the the author himself! Talking about Marina in his own words he writes: “Of all the books I’ve published ever since I picked up this odd business of the novelist trade back in prehistoric 1992, Marina remains one of my favourites.”
UK Publisher Orion Books/W&N calls it a “cult classic” in Spain and I can ensure you this book is a mighty contender for that title within every reader. Don’t let the sadly misleading teen urban fantasy-ish cover fool you, as it certainly doesn’t reflect the true depth of the novel. No US release is set yet, but you can pre-order the British version here and here.
